Ok, its official. I have no life. And I blame the rain. It's really good weather to sleep but it's just so freakin depressing when you're awake and want to go out!!! So I allowed to sleep in today and woke up at 9. That is sleeping in when you awake up everyday at 7.30. Anyways, I made myself breakfast and was watching The Ellen show and felt like going to the library to get some new books. So I left at like 11 and went and looked around took a couple of books and sat down to see if they were worth borrowing [they weren't] so I decided to leave after spending just one hour there 'cos suddenly I just felt super sleepy and tired and thought of my comfortable bed with the soft pillows in my room and just felt like zoning out there itself.


You may not see any problem but I love the lib and never once have I left without borrowing a book. And the weather just didn't put me in a book-reading mood. Now, lets say the library had finally gotten the book that I reserved over a month ago I would have been one very happy girl and wouldn't have the library book-less. But no! They still say they're pending the reservation! What does that even mean?! Does that mean they're trying to get the book to that branch? Or that they are trying to locate the book? Or that they are just plain lazy and can't bother to get my damn book?!

I inherited my dad's lack of tolerance when it comes to poor customer service. I may be a taf more patient then he is but seriously this has gone on for far too long! 5 weeks, there are a total of what- 20+ libraries in Singapore. It does not take that long to locate one damned book, esp since NLB only owns like 5 copies of it, and transport it to library! I know that first hand because not only have reserved many many books before but I used to volunteer at the library and have seen and background workings, grits and all. So therefore I know it takes at the very very most 2 and 1/2 to 3 weeks for a person to be able to collect their book after reserving it. I have been waiting for 5 freakin weeks and still no book!!


So as a test, I reserved a different book today. One that I've been wanting to read but has been on loan forever. If it takes over 3 weeks for me to get book too, I'm gonna complain. If it doesn't I'll still complain 'cos I prob still wouldn't have the book I originally reserved! Stupid NLB and they're lazy asses!!

Phew! OK, I'm done venting. So it looks like I won't be saying goodbye to my hair till the Saturday after this. Apparently my mom mixed up the appointment dates. But I'm gonna see if I can convince her to let me do mine this Sat 'cos we'll be going to Parkway anyways and since we're there...


So I still haven't decided what CCA to join at RP. My parents both want me to join the Mentoring IG. I most prob will 'cos it seems interesting. But I'm also interested in the Speak. and the Write. IGs. Not not fully sure yet.

Thats it for today. I seem to end all my posts with the line nothing more to write today. Or some version of that. Oh well. BYe!
