Oh and don’t think I forgot...Extra special thanks goes out Hana, who turned 18, and who helped me organize the beach fun for my chalet.
To Sonia Ace who threw a rocking after hours party for me! She gave me the best first hours as a legal-ian! And for buying me those Tequila shots!
And lastly to Joseph who I had tons of fun with clubbing, drinking and laughing with in the wee hours of the morning!
Anyways now on to putting these memories onto paper, sort of, so that they are never forgotten!
Nisa, Hana and Aisyah came over to my place to help carry the many things we had all the way to Sentosa. After an hour’s journey, including a whole lot of walking uphill, we made it to the chalet which turned out to be a cramped little room with 2 single beds. But it was, in its own way cozy.
Then we headed out to the beach where we blasted music and started having fun! Dunking Hana in the water twice, playing I Never, our weird ass version of Volleyball with our $2 Daiso ball. But it started raining after a while so we moved into the sheltered area and started playing Charades. After a while Farzana joined us. And then, after getting lost -.-, Haz and Zaky also came! It was fun! Basically we had a blast just guessing and making fun of people and of course snapping pictures!
Around 5 we headed back to the chalet to shower and get dressed for the night. That’s when Sonia arrived and with her came a bottle of Vodka. :D With Sonia also came my loss of control over what I looked like. She started working on my hair and make up and I am so glad she did! She gave me super straight hair and made me up such that I totally didn’t recognize myself!
Farzana and Nisa went to collect our pizzas and as soon as everyone was done dressing up and taking even more pictures we headed to the Silso Sign. Mainly ‘cos it was the only place that was lit up. Took more pictures while waiting for my parents, brother, Poonam, Aunty Keena and Naissha to come.
And when they did come it was more fun. We had such a nice cake from Awfully Chocolate. I loved the design I picked out. It was perfect. Everyone liked it so much that we all had to take a picture with it before it was cut!! A piece of heaven.
Then my mom got reminded that it was also Hana’s birthday so we re-lit the candles on the remaining cake and sang for her as well!! She was so happy...I’m glad we did it!
Then slowly everyone started leaving till we were left with Hana, Sonia, Ashe and Taz. Went back to the chalet to touch up and change clothes and rest for a bit. Then Sonia, Hana and I went to Cafe Del Mar and had a little early ringing in off the 10th April with D.Frost.
Made our way back to Vivo ‘cos Hana had to go home. But she was with us at 12 midnight so we wished each other Happy Birthday. Really wished she could have come along with us but sadly nope.
After she left Sonia and I met Ashe and Taz and went off to Powerhouse. At Powerhouse I met Sonia’s friend Joesph, who is really nice and fun! I can now officially say that I love clubbing. I love drinking, well I always have, and I love dancing! Thanks to Sonia and Joseph I had an amazing time. Sad though that I didn’t get high.
I discovered that my ability to take alcohol is pretty damn high. I had like 3 Vodka with Cranberry, 3 tequila shots and Vodka and Coke I was still perfectly fine. Sigh. Nevermind. This is a good thing in its own way.
Headed back to the Chalet around 4 in the morning with Joseph and we drank a little more and fell asleep for a little while. Woke up with Ashe and Taz and their friend Indra came back. Can’t recall exactly what we did ‘cos I was freaking tired.
Left Sentosa at 10 and came home.
I was home for 20 minutes and then I headed out again to meet Nisa, Aisyah, Siti Aisyah and Farzana to surprise Hana. But sadly her mom’s little instructions tipped her off that we may be coming. But she was still surprised. Of course we then covered her face with cake. And because no one did it to me the night before they did it to me too! Revenge for them.
Then we went to Swenson’s at Bugis for lunch. Had a high time with them! Laughing so hard and teasing each other. Then Nisa surprised us with Sundaes. ‘Cos she told the waitress that it was our birthdays. Yummy and very filling!! And to commemorate our birthday after god knows how long we went to take Neoprints. Had a whole lot of fun!
Came home around 4.30 and slept for 2 hours. Somehow I managed to get like super sick. Sneezing my head off every minute. But I still went out with my family. We went to this super fancy restaurant called Delhi’s. Ohmnygod their food is so freaking good! The Nan cooked to perfection. And Tomato Soup delicious!!
So all in all it’s been a pretty damn good 18th birthday!! I had fun and tons of memories. I was a little sad and disappointed that some people didn’t wish me but the fact that people I totally didn’t expect to remember wished me!
